Chef Vinesh Johny is the Co-founder and Executive Pastry Chef at Lavonne Academy of Baking Science & Pastry Arts. After graduating from culinary school, he consolidated his skills at the Oberoi Hotel Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In 2012, at just 24 years old, he founded Lavonne, India's first pastry academy, with the aim of promoting pastry arts as a career.
As a chef, educator, and entrepreneur, Chef Vinesh was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2016 and in Forbes' All-Star Alumni Asia list in 2017 and 2019. He represented India at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 as a WorldSkills Expert, helping secure India's first Silver Medal in the Pastry Skills category. He also co-authored the cookbook New School Sweets with Chef Andres Lara and was named one of India's Top 30 Chefs by Culinary Culture in 2022 and 2023.
