Curry is actually It is a mix of things, mainly species.

Curry mix may contain any of the following spices: chilli pepper, basil, caraway, celery, saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, dried onion, coriander, cloves, cumin, turmeric, ginger, mustard, nutmeg, pepper, cayenne, or tamarind

If I were you I would start trying with smal tiny amounts so you get to know how much you like it.
