Ese momento en el que tu pareja te lleva a tomar un dulce al final de una larga semana de trabajo y descubres por casualidad una nueva obsesión invernal… la tarta de castañas.
Lo que cayó en mi plato era puro confort invernal… una rebanada suave y densa de puré de castañas enriquecido con cacao, cubierto con una salsa cálida y aterciopelada y terminado con virutas de chocolate y un remolino de nata montada. Sencillo, nostálgico y mucho mejor de lo que esperaba.
Ahora mi mente está ocupada desmenuzándolo: la textura, el aroma, el equilibrio entre el puré de castañas y la nata, el suave calor de la vainilla… Quiero entender qué le da ese inconfundible “brillo invernal”. No puedo dejar de pensar en cómo recrearlo en casa.
Si alguien ha trabajado antes con postres de castañas, estoy abierta a todos los consejos. Este podría ser mi próximo proyecto en la cocina 😁.

That moment when your partner takes you out for a sweet treat at the end of a long work week, and you accidentally discover a new winter obsession… chestnut cake.
What landed on my plate was pure winter comfort… a smooth, dense slice of chestnut purée enriched with cocoa, topped with a warm, velvety sauce and finished with chocolate shavings and a swirl of whipped cream. Simple, nostalgic, and far better than what I expected.
Now my mind is busy breaking it down: the texture, the aroma, the balance between chestnut purée and cream, the gentle warmth of vanilla… I want to understand what gives it that unmistakable “winter glow”. I can’t stop thinking about how to recreate this at home.
If anyone has worked with chestnut desserts before, I’m open to all tips. This might be my next kitchen project. 😁
