These are the apple turnovers, from the course of Emma Schacke. This is my LOVE, i’ve made them yesterday and left them to chill in the fridge. Today my breakfast was gorgeous. The dough is crumbly and so well-textured, it feels rustic and divine. My new favs.

These hand pies are little parcels of joy! That golden, crimped edge and sugared top speak of care and craft, and I can just imagine the aroma when they came out of the oven. There’s something so comforting and nostalgic about hand pies—they carry a sense of home, of stories folded into dough.
