Las Navidades han sido un poco diferentes este año. He estado enferma durante dos semanas, así que no he podido estar tan activa en la cocina como suelo estarlo durante las fiestas.
No hice el tradicional pastel de Navidad, e incluso el menú fue menos creativo de lo habitual.
Sin embargo, quería hacer todo lo que pudiera, así que hice este tronco de Navidad de chocolate como único pastel navideño este año. Fue un gran éxito con mi familia, especialmente con las nueces tostadas en la capa de chocolate y la nata montada con cerezas en el centro.

Christmas has been a bit different this year. I’ve been sick for two weeks, so I couldn’t be as active in the kitchen as I usually am during the holiday season.
I didn’t bake the traditional Christmas cake, and even the menu was less creative than usual.
However, I wanted to make as much as I could, so I made this chocolate yule log as the only Christmas cake this year. It was a great success with my family, especially with the roasted nuts in the chocolate layer and the whipped cream with cherries in the middle.
This simple roll filled the house with a warm Christmas vibe, even though I felt weaker and less energetic this year. Happy Holidays, my dear Scoolinary Friends 🎄😘👨🍳
