Who is Vicente Fortea?

As the son of a baker, he developed a passion for dough and baking, as a child. At 17, he enrolled in the School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands, and in 1999, he began his journey in the hospitality industry, working in fine dining restaurants.

During the early years of his career, he trained under renowned chefs such as Juan Mari Arzak, Ferran Adrià, Oriol Balaguer, and Francisco Torreblanca.

Vicente Fortea has participated in various culinary events and professional fairs, and he has taught creative cooking courses in hospitality schools in several European cities. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the title of Champion of the Balearic Islands for Chefs and the National Young Talents award.

With a Master’s  in Gastronomy and Luxury Tourism, Vicente has dedicated over 12 years to managing culinary projects for the hospitality and tourism sector. His work includes implementing management systems in large-volume kitchens, creating offerings for prestigious restaurants and hotel chains, directing restaurant consultancies, opening hotel outlets, and providing training and rollouts for repositioning projects in food and beverage, as well as in restaurant chains in various international destinations.

He is currently the creative director of the gastronomic laboratory and head of operations of the consultancy Passion & Gastronomy.
