Since I was very little, I watched my mother cook. I'm sure that's what marked me for life. At the age of 18, I started studying gastronomy at a high school in Argentina. At the end of the first year of high school, I started an internship, and there began this beautiful journey with gastronomy that has been going on for almost 12 years now. I worked in different restaurants and had the opportunity to travel to Spain, specifically to the Basque Country, where I got to know several cuisines and learned a lot about their gastronomy. In 2003, I started working in a Basque restaurant, where I met my wife, the daughter of the owners. For several years, we have been running the restaurant between my wife, my brother-in-law, my mother-in-law and myself as the chef. In addition, we have 25 employees working with us. Today we are in the Recoleta neighborhood with the Iñaki restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Besides working in the restaurant, on my Instagram account (@matiascuco) I collaborate with different brands and TV channels in Argentina. Gastronomy is my life and I have the privilege of working in what I love most in the world.
