Who is Ed Szymanski?
Winner, StarChefs Rising Star Awards 2023
Ed Szymansky studied at the London School of Economics and began pursuing a career in finance. With a change of heart, he staged at various restaurants around London.
In 2014, he moved to New York, to work with April Bloomfield at The Spotted Pig. He continued to work in New York establishments before moving to Quintonil, Mexico City, and Lyle’s in London. He later returned to New York.
In 2019, Ed Szymanski, and his partner Patricia Howard, fed protesters during the Black Lives Matter protests. Their fish and chips pop-up became Dame, their first restaurant, known for all things fish and seafood. In 2022, the pair opened Lord’s: an English pub inspired restaurant, known for its nose-to-tail cooking.
In 2023, Ed was chosen as StarChefs New York City Rising Stars Award Winner.
