Who is Carolina Ortega?
My story with cooking began when I was very young, watching my beautiful grandmother, a woman with the gift of giving love through a plate of food.
At the age of 12, I prepared my first dish on my own and from that day on, I felt that cookery was a blank canvas similar to the ones I used for painting, allowing me to create by "listening" to the ingredients and connecting with the aromas.
At 26, I started my journey into veganism, which completely changed my relationship with cooking. I had to relearn many things but at the same time, I gained a new world of flavors and ingredients I had never used before. I had the opportunity to train in a school of Ayurvedic nutrition, where I learned that cooking is an incredibly powerful medicine.
I taught my first vegan cooking class, where I discovered that teaching is my passion, and I wanted to dive deeper into the world of nutrition. That’s why I decided to study Nutrition and Dietetics, to provide my classes with a solid nutritional foundation and unite the world of cooking and nutrition.
