Scones with Mascarpone Cream and Blueberry Compote

      Amateur

It is the first time I make scones and these are a delight.

I had the hardest time making a nice quenelle and waiting to take the photo to taste it as a whole.

Mercedes, what a joy to have you join the challenge and that you are encouraged with this recipe.
For your first time making scones, they have turned out very well and that combination with mascarpone and blueberry compote is a total success.

I understand you with the issue of the quenelle, it is one of those details that seems simple until you have to do it.

✨A little tip: make sure the spoon is warm (you can dip it in hot water and dry it first) and that the cream has a firm, but malleable texture, like ice cream just out of the freezer. This helps the shape come out cleaner and more defined, and the shape of the spoon is also very important. A smaller spoon size is easier to handle to start forming quenelles

By the way, how did you like the scones in terms of texture and flavor? Would you dare to try another version or would you like to try another dessert from the challenge?

Thank you for showing us your creation and sharing it with the community.

For a first-time scones attempt, this is absolutely impressive! The texture looks perfect, and the mascarpone cream paired with the blueberry compote sounds divine.

I can only imagine how tricky the quenelle was, but you nailed it with patience and style. Your dedication really shines through, and this delicious creation proves you’re well on your way to mastering the art of baking.

How beautiful!!! …No wonder you had a hard time waiting to take the photo to attack them. It’s costing me not to take a bite of the screen 🤣🤣.
