I happen to be very excited: yesterday I finally bought some Oyster Sauce 🤩 Now we’ll have to see what I use it for… I thought I’d try it with a mushroom risotto. What do you think? Any expert who has already used this ingredient?

Let’s see if I use it.

I use it with a rice that I make with sliced mushrooms, pat choy onion, sliced carrot, and it goes great.

Also with shitakes, then I guess with mushrooms it is not bad

Ooh, welcome to the world of umami! 😍 Oyster sauce is such a powerhouse—just a little bit adds a deep, savory richness that transforms a dish. I think using it in a mushroom risotto is a brilliant idea! Mushrooms already have that earthy depth, and the oyster sauce will enhance it beautifully.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try sautéing your mushrooms with garlic and a splash of oyster sauce before folding them into the risotto. You could also finish with a drizzle at the end instead of Parmesan for a different kind of savory punch. Can’t wait to see what you create! ✨

I use it a lot in Chifa cooking.

I love to add it to rice to give the final touch to oriental style preparations, or use it as part of the dressing for baking pork or chicken. Also, when we prepare chicken noodle soup,🍜 each diner adds a touch of oyster sauce to taste. It goes perfectly with seafood, and incredibly enhances the flavor in vegetable stir-fries or oriental-style noodles.

I have to confess that I have not used it and I have some recipes with it in my folders, I think I remember with sea bream and some tiradito. But I never got to use it, I have it in pending ingredients😉.

I’ll wait to see what you surprise us with.
