A world-class chocolatier who combines technique, creativity, and a love for nature.
Lluc Crusellas first discovered his passion for pastry in 2013 at just 17 years old, when he joined the dessert team of acclaimed chef Nandu Jubany. That experience ignited his creativity and set him on a professional path in pastry and chocolate.
After finishing high school, he specialized in pastry at both Espai Sucre and Hofmann School in Barcelona, where he deepened his technical knowledge and professional discipline. He trained at La Pastisseria under Josep Maria Rodríguez and later joined the team professionally.
In 2017, at the age of 21, Lluc returned to Vic, in the Osona region, where he took on the role of Head Pastry Chef at El Carme, part of the Pavic group. There, he continued to evolve and gained recognition in both pastry and chocolate.
His international breakthrough came in 2021, when he was named Best Chocolatier in Spain after winning the Spanish qualifying round of the World Chocolate Masters competition. Just a year later, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming the World Chocolate Masters Champion in 2022.
Outside the kitchen, Lluc is passionate about cycling—both mountain and road—which he has practiced since childhood in his hometown of Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer. He credits sports with instilling values like perseverance, discipline, and resilience—qualities that drive his culinary career. Nature also serves as an endless source of inspiration, providing colors, textures, and aromas that he channels into his pastry and chocolate creations.
