Today’s little kitchen project…fig jam.
These beauties are washed, trimmed, and quartered, and now they’re ready for the pot. I’m keeping the skins on because that’s where a lot of the flavor, color, and texture lives. 🙂
Now comes the fun part… figuring out whether to keep it classic or sneak in a little vanilla, cinnamon… maybe something else. 😄
What’s your favorite addition to homemade fig jam?

I’m so excited to make jam. I love fig jam. The one I made last year was traditional—just with a little sugar and lemon. But I’m sure your version with a little something extra will be spectacular. By the way, beautiful photo😍

Qué ilusión hacer mermelada. Me encanta la de higos. La que hice el pasado año fue tradicional, solo con algo de azúcar y limón. Pero estoy segura que tu versión con algo mas será espectacular. Por cierto, preciosa fotografia😍

Yummy, dear! I’d definitely go with a little vanilla and just a tiny touch of clove 😊 The vanilla would round out the sweetness beautifully, while the clove could add a lovely warm note without overpowering the figs. I’d keep the clove very subtle though, those figs deserve to stay the star!

@lanamihajlovic No doubt about it, surely an experience to savor and admire, starting with its aroma.
