You can’t take away what I’ve already enjoyed.
I’m on sick leave for a week because of back pain, and of course, I don’t really feel like cooking, but oh my, these little lamb chops with sautéed baby garlic are simply irresistible. And with all of your permission, I’m going to take one of those naps with a little glass of something and my pajamas on—so that when I wake up, instead of checking the clock, I’ll have to glance at the calendar. By the way, that little bit of fat you see on the plate isn’t oil; I deglazed the bottom of the pan with white wine and poured it over the ribs. If anyone’s interested, I’m in southeastern Spain, in a beautiful city called Cartagena.

Que me quiten lo bailao.
Estoy una semana de baja por un dolor en la espalda y, por supuesto, que no tengo muchas ganas de cocinar, pero ay, mamita, estas chuletitas de cordero con refrito de ajos tiernos no se las salta un muerto. Y con el permiso de todo/as ustedes, me voy a echar una siesta de esas de jarrito y pijama, que cuando me levante, en vez de mirar el reloj, voy a tener que ojear el calendario. Por cierto, que esa grasita que se ve por el plato no es aceite; he desglasado el fondo de la sartén con vino blanco y se lo eché por encima a las costillas. Si a alguien gusta, me encuentro por el sureste de España, en una bella ciudad llamada Cartagena.
