Cabbage steak with a fried egg, crispy garlic and sumac, and a spicy mayo. Served with home-made bread.
My first tme making a veggie steak. It was delicious, but I’m not sure if all the frying and basting added to it. It could just be oven roasted perhaps. And the plate needs colour, doesn’t it?

I like your suggestion, but, as you say, when you grill it, it might turn out tastier and less oily. It’s just a matter of trying it out.

Me gusta tu propuesta, pero, como tú dices, al asarla, a lo mejor que más sabrosa y menos aceitosa. Es cuestión de probar.

It might be missing a bit of color; I agree with Antonio that grilling or baking it might result in a less fatty dish, but I’m convinced that a sauce really does add flavor.

Puede ser que alguna nota de color le falte, yo creo como Antonio que quizás a la plancha o al horno te quedarÃa con menos grasa, pero una salsa si le aporta sabor estoy convencida

@mercedesminayapalaciosgmail-com The recipe had no sauce, but I found one fried egg wasn’t juicy enough so I added a spicy mayo. Today I oven roasted first, then fried it just to add colour and crispiness, and I liked this method better. Just olive oil, no butter tastes better.
