My grandmother taught me to make “cheat’s spaghetti bolognese”. It would give Italians nightmares, but it’s ready in under 30 minutes and requires the addition of things like Worcestershire sauce and a dash of soy sauce to create depth of flavour, when you don’t have hours to simmer a ragù. She always made it for us when we visited and I continue to make it to this day. It tastes like home to me!
