• My first surf and turf, with leftovers.

Lamb with rosemary and deep-fried mussels on potato, tomato and onion.

Love this creative surf and turf twist, Sarah 😊 The stacked plating feels bold and full of personality. For an even cleaner finish, you could soften the tomato presence a little and refine the sauce. Would you try it again with a crisper contrast or a lighter base?

          • @soldamiani I was doing a play on the tomato salad Achik-chuchuk. I didn’t want a sauce because it could make the mussels soggy, but I agree the raw tomato is just sitting there aggressively. Tonight I’m going to try it with mash and side-salad.

@empressdalekhotmail-com I’m so glad you took the note in the spirit it was meant, Sarah 💛 And honestly, that new version with mash and a side salad sounds like it could bring everything together beautifully. We’d love to keep seeing your experiments, they always have such a thoughtful angle. Also, are you joining the Bread Challenge?
