• I share with you a special dish, where I live they are known as “xiza” in Otomi (native language). It is a worm that is found in oak or ocote trees (depending on the area). The worms in the picture were collected with my boyfriend and some friends and are usually roasted with butter, although I added some fine herbs to give it more aroma. They can be eaten alone, in quesadillas, pizzas, etc., but this time we ate them alone.
