Today I’m almost not going to talk about food; I say this because on this day three years ago my father passed away and we all miss him very much. He was a great son, a great father, a great husband and a great grandfather. I learned a lot of things from him, but he also taught me how to make the best wood-fired rice dishes in the countryside, where we went almost every weekend, and he also explained to me all the tricks he knew to make a great potato omelette. That is why I wanted to write these words in honor of a great person and a great cook.

Hoy casi no os voy a hablar de comida; lo digo porque tal dÃa como hoy de hace tres años falleció mi padre y todos lo echamos mucho de menos. Fue un gran hijo, gran padre, gran marido y un estupendo abuelo. Aprendà muchÃsimas cosas de él, pero también me enseñó a hacer los mejores arroces de leña en el campo, al cual Ãbamos casi todos los fines de semana, y además me explicó todos los trucos que él sabÃa para hacer una estupenda tortilla de patatas. Por eso he querido escribir estas palabras en honor a una persona grande y un gran cocinilla.
