Progress Pickled walnuts _ Fourth -and last- month

And here we are at last! Today is the day when @beatriztorijagmail-com and I publish the progress of the pickled walnuts from Robert Ruiz Moreno’s Introduction to Pickles course.

You already know that we started this experiment four months ago and we decided to follow up on them to see how they behave being in different areas of Spain. Castellar (Jaén) and Caspueñas (Guadalajara) with a distance in a straight line of 272 kilometers (397 by road). You can see the location of our localities in the photo.

This is the result 120 days after starting the process:

      Location: Castellar, Jaén, Spain

Ambient Temperature: Today 25ºC . We have been three days with a significant drop in temperatures, but the average of the month has been between 35 º and 38 º C, the nights with 21 º C approx. Almost all the month has been as you see in the photo.

      Ambient Humidity: 21% today

Changes: The liquid level maybe a little less than the previous one ? Hardly and it has darkened very little more. Few changes in this last month.

My dear colleague Beatriz has made the photo montages in which you can check the changes since the first day and the final difference between her jar and mine together with those of Rober Ruiz 😉

We are very happy to have made it this far! In a few days we will open the jars to see what happens with this experiment that has united us in this adventure 🥰🙌.

For those who don’t know this yet, the nuts are not used, only the liquid and this will be used to make soft drinks. Once strained, it is mixed with a neutral drink with bubbles, type soda, soda, tonic and also to use in salads as a dressing with oil.

Let’s see what we do with it! ❤️❤️
