Good morning. Guys. I have to confess that one of my favorite meals are woks. And today I have taken the opportunity to make me one; with rice noodles, Iberian sirloin, garlic paste, cherry tomatoes, garlic, sesame oil, gochujang paste, chili threads and white sesame.

          • Antonio, this wok sounds like a flavor-packed celebration! The combination of Iberian sirloin and rice noodles already sets a rich, satisfying base, and layering it with garlic paste, cherry tomatoes, and sesame oil brings that irresistible depth and aroma. The gochujang paste and chili threads add just the right amount of heat and complexity—bold but balanced.
It’s clear you know how to build flavor with intention, and the white sesame adds that final touch of texture and nuttiness. Woks may be casual comfort food, but yours feels elevated and personal. Thanks for sharing one of your favorites—it’s easy to see why it holds that spot!

@judyrusselllive-com-au. Thank you for your beautiful words. Woks were invented in China over 2000 years ago; they were created to cook quickly and efficiently with the scarcity of fuel. The shape of the wok allowed for cooking various foods using high temperatures, which spread throughout Asia and became a symbol of oriental culinary culture. Although I don’t have one with a rounded base, I really like to cook some foods in this pan because it concentrates the heat more and the browning is perfect. I live in Cartagena, Spain, and here there is a recipe called pulpo a la cartagenera. We cook the octopus, chop it and then sauté it in the pan; at the end we add a mixture of lemon, olive oil and balsamic vinegar; in the wok, it’s a blast.
