      Cucumber sandwich

      In the United Kingdom it is a classic. The Queen of England used to eat them every day, to accompany her 5 o’clock tea.

      Last year, as I had a lot of cucumbers from the garden, and I did not know what to do with so many, I decided to try it, although at first it sounded strange to me the mixture of cucumber with mayonnaise, between bread. Well … I found it a delight and it has already been installed in my summer recipe book. This one I show you, from a few days ago… I went a little overboard with the filling. And I added a bit of arugula, besides

        What a joy to see your cucumber sandwich with that personal touch of arugula.
        There’s something very elegant about that simple and fresh combination, and you know… it reminds me so much of the flavor profile of Greek tzatziki! Between the cucumber, the creamy point and the green touch, there’s a very Mediterranean freshness that makes it perfect for summer.
        I like your photos with the beautiful natural light and a warm and peaceful setting.
        have you tried adding some seeded bread or a touch of Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise? It could be an interesting twist without losing the essence.
        Thanks again for showing us your preparation, you got it and it looks great. ❤

          @undefined pues es verdad, no había caído. Seguramente quedará más lifero y fresco si en lugar de mayonesa pongo tzatziki griego, …o también raita india, que en realidad son salsas muy parecidas a base de yogur. Voy a probarlo!!

            @beatriztorijagmail-com ¡Qué buena idea, Bea!
            La raita india también le iría genial, con ese toque especiado y refrescante que tiene. Me encanta cómo lo llevaste al terreno de las salsas con yogur, porque abren un montón de posibilidades sin perder la ligereza del sándwich.
            Cuando lo pruebes con esa versión, ¡cuéntanos qué tal!.
            Gracias por compartir tu entusiasmo y seguir explorando nuevas ideas con tanto cariño.🙌🏻

          Such a lovely story behind discovering a classic! Sometimes the simplest things like cucumber and mayo between soft bread become little summer rituals. And a little extra filling just means more joy in each bite 😄

            @loles-mhotmail-com te confieso que la primera vez lo hice con mucha curiosidad pero convencida de que sería una combinación raruna, como cuando los turistas piden una ración de boquerones fritos y le ponen ketchup 😵‍💫. Pero fue una sorpresa riquísima. Pruébalo
