• Today I share with you my mixed dish from two courses, gnocchi in cheese bechamel sauce, the gnocchi are made with the recipe from the Italian fresh pasta course by chef Juan Manuel Umbert and the bechamel sauce from the French cooking techniques course by chef Bruno Stril, my personal touch, the fried rice noodles, passed through a mixture of fine salt, paprika and cayenne, to add texture, color and spiciness.

Not without mentioning that taking the course on the basics of plating by chef Tobie Puttock and gastronomic photography by Jimena Agois has been fundamental for me, love comes through the eyes.

Special thanks to @soldamiani who motivated me to leave the parsley to add color, which helped me to look for another way, thank you.

How delicious! I really want to learn how to make gnocchi… I’ve seen that soon there will be a specific course 👏👏👏👏👏

I love the idea that this creation is a fusion of two courses: Chef Juan Manuel Umbert’s gnocchi and Chef Bruno Stril’s béchamel sauce coexist harmoniously, and that is already a huge merit. Congratulations for daring to unite your knowledge and bring it to your field!

But you didn’t stop there, you also integrated what you learned in the plating and photography courses, and it shows in the careful presentation, in the balance of colors and textures, and in how your personal touch (those fried rice noodles!) brings identity and character to the dish.

is there a technique that has surprised you or changed the way you cook since you started? Thanks for sharing it with the community!…. ❤

hello dear Betza, creative soul in full swing! 😍
How wonderful to read (and see) how you wove a dish with threads from various courses. Your gnocchi is almost a declaration of principles: Italian technique + French base + personal twist with the crunchy noodles and that spice mix that sounds like pure personality!
Besides, the fact that you are adding suggestions -including that “rebellious wink” of parsley- speaks of a cuisine that is not only executed with skill, but also with love and community.
💬 What do you value more in a chef that inspires you: his/her technique, his/her aesthetic look, his/her creativity… or that “I don’t know what” that moves you inside? Do you have a chef that you admire more than another one?
Thank you for sharing not just one dish, but your whole process – this is exactly what makes the Scoolinary Community great! 💛

This is such a thoughtful and creative combination. Love how you brought together techniques from different courses to build something so cohesive and visually striking. The spiced rice noodles are a brilliant touch! And it’s clear that all the plating and photo tips paid off. Absolutely beautiful!
