      For a weekend snack with friends, I prepared one of the most traditional recipes, more madrileñas than ever: patatas bravas

      They are a delight.

        Ahhh patatas bravas! You really know how to do weekends right 😊 That’s the kind of food that doesn’t say much but brings a full-on party with every bite. Next time you’re making a double batch… I’m coming over! 😄

          @lanamihajlovic don’t tell me that… I’ll start making patatas bravas non-stop! 😂😂😂

          As I’ve already told here, I left Madrid to live in the middle of the countryside. Patatas bravas, one of the most common dishes in Madrid’s tapas bars, is one of the few things I miss 🥺 so I’ve been perfecting the recipe, to make them the same 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

          @davidfernandogomezroa1 I don’t know if you are asking if they are spicy or what spice is used.

          Bravas are a bit spicy, but not excessively so. They are spicy because of the use of hot paprika

          Patatas bravas are pure flavor and tradition, and when they are well made, there is no one who can resist. Surely they were a hit at the table, with that crunchy and spicy combination so irresistible.
          did you prepare the salsa brava in the classic style or did you give it your own twist?
          Thanks for sharing this delight I love to see how you bring iconic recipes to life with such enthusiasm.❤

            @sussan_scoolinaryteam I make the classic sauce which, in Madrid, is made without tomato (there are other regions in Spain where it is made on a tomato base).

            In Madrid you make a sofrito of onion to which you add a pinch of cornstarch, paprika de la Vera, sweet and spicy, beef broth and let it cook for 20 min. Then it is mashed.

              @beatriztorijagmail-com Gracias por compartir cómo preparas la salsa brava al estilo madrileño.
              Me encanta que hayas respetado la receta clásica sin tomate, como se suele hacer en Madrid. Ese sofrito con cebolla, pimentón de la Vera (dulce y picante), un toque de maicena y caldo de carne suena sabrosísimo… ¡y con ese triturado final queda seguro con una textura sedosa y llena de sabor!
              Nos encanta ver cómo pones en valor las versiones auténticas de las recetas, con conocimiento y cariño. 😍
              ¡Gracias por seguir compartiendo tu cocina con tanta pasión!

          • The patatas bravas are always a hit 😍😍😍.

            On Friday we were having some tapas in Carmona, and they put us a papas bravas with sweet chili sauce and glass shrimp, which were in triumph of the table. I’ll leave it there… 😂😂😂

              @mercedesminayapalaciosgmail-com and who doesn’t… they are so good!

              can you believe that having a portion of bravas with a few beers in one of the most traditional bars in the neighborhood is one of the things I miss most about Madrid since I’ve been living abroad? 😄😄😄
