Dehydrated bitter orange
This is how the dehydrated orange turned out. I think it turned out better than I expected. At the moment I am going to use it as decoration but I do not rule out other uses. I keep it in jars that stand the passage of time well, so I will see how to use it. It was in the dehydrator for 6 hours at 55ºC

Naranja amarga deshidratada

Maloles, you have achieved a super even dehydration, with very regular cuts and no burnt or too wet areas. Also, the photo of the jar conveys order and care and it is clear that you thought about the final presentation as well.
The color remains vibrant and natural, and that’s not easy with citrus fruits. Very good control of temperature and time!
would you dare to infuse them in some distillate, like gin or vermouth, to bring bitter and aromatic notes? Or even in powdered form, as a finishing touch for a dessert or a vinaigrette.
Thank you for sharing such a nice technique and result with us 💫.Level:Scoolinary Team

I was sure you could work magic 😊. You’re right, they do look better once dried than fresh. Great job!

loles, that jar looks like it came out of a gourmet store in Copenhagen! 🍊🙌 The fine texture and even color say a lot about your technical pulse. If you had to use just one of those slices on a plate that represents you… which one would you put it on without hesitation?

They turned out beautifully! That deep amber color is stunning… perfect for decoration, but I can already imagine them adding magic to a tea, a dessert, or even a cocktail. Love how you’re letting time be part of the creative process!
