I think all of us here love cooking and enjoy doing it. Many of you even make a living at it, others of us are just passionate about it.

But, I say, not everything is going to be cooking in this life… 😜, we also enjoy good food outside the home. Today, that we were celebrating my husband and I went to a restaurant that we had been wanting to know for a long time, in Cuenca (the one in Spain, not Ecuador). It was a long menu, but I wanted to share two of the dishes I liked the most:

-Carabinero with black garlic from Las Pedroñeras and sopa de ajo con dspuma de los inreriores del carabinero

Pigeon in two different ways of cooking (stewed thigh and grilled breast) with demiglas of its carcass and pâté of its highadillos; accompanied by beet.

When you go out to eat out, do you want to replicate the dishes at home? 😅

        what a delightful experience, Beatriz.

I loved the way you shared the dishes and how you described it, one can almost taste them with imagination. In my case, what you said happens to me: every time I go to eat out, especially Japanese or Korean food, which are the restaurants I visit the most lately, I feel like replicating a dish at home. Although I don’t always achieve the same result, I usually keep some idea, dressing or spice typical of that cuisine and incorporate it into my preparations.

what other restaurant would you like to visit and why?

Thanks for sharing with the community 😊.

@undefined ya, it’s the same for me, replicating dishes like this, without recipes, is almost impossible. But you can get ideas, ingredients and some elaboration to make at home, even if it’s not the same.

Bufff, there are so many restaurants I would like to know… but I lack time and budget 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The truth is that now I go out much less, we live in the middle of the countryside and now everything is far away. But well, from time to time 😊

@undefined How nice that, despite the distance and different pace, you still find moments to enjoy good food and let yourself be inspired. that’s also very valuable! 🙂

Of course, I always want to replicate some of what I eat, they are as beautiful as they are rich

How tasty everything looks Beatriz ! It happens to me too, whenever we go out I always keep some idea, even once I made the exact replica in image but something was missing in the recipe. Anyway it’s great because we always keep something😉.

          • Although it’s divine to go out to eat, as far as I’m concerned, knowing about cooking has lost a bit of magic and I’m very picky about the food I’m served

@Daniela-Duran yes, totally, it’s the same for me. Eye, sometimes knowing about cooking also makes you value more some dishes or elaborations that you know are difficult or take a lot of work 😌.

Those dishes sound absolutely exquisite! And yes, I totally relate. Every time I try something amazing at a restaurant, I leave half-inspired and half-intimidated, already planning how to (try to) recreate it at home!
