This is the craving we have prepared tonight: toasts with sobradada and fried quail eggs. What we like in my house to have a snack dinner! 😊

Bea, those tostas look delicious. The mix of sobrasada with quail eggs sounds like a very tasty and comforting combination for a casual dinner.
could you tell us a little more about the sobrasada you used? It would be interesting to know if it is homemade, from a particular region or if it has a special touch.
And if you usually prepare this kind of snack dinners, do you have any other combinations you like?

Surely we could learn a lot from your ideas. 🙌🏻

@sussan_scoolinaryteam here in Spain is very famous the sobrasada from Mallorca, in one of the archipelagos of the country. And it really is very special and tasty. From time to time I like to buy a sobrassada from this region. It’s very tasty because very little is used, so it’s worth it.

My husband and I love it with quail eggs on toast. It is also very tasty with brie cheese, or on its own, with a pinch of honey (just a little bit of honey).

Other toasts that we like… avocado with duck ham or cheese spread with walnuts and arugula.

The truth is that toast is a world of its own… there are millions of delicious combinations. I’m coming up with this challenge idea: ‘creativity on bread’ 😬😬.

            what a delight, Beatriz!
Thanks for sharing all those details now you’ve left me craving to try that sobrasada from Mallorca, it sounds spectacular! What a great idea to combine it with brie or with a touch of honey, it sure balances the intense flavor perfectly. And the other combinations you mention also sound amazing… that touch of duck ham with avocado must be a marvel. And I loved the phrase: “toast is a world”, totally true! There is so much to explore with a good bread base.
Your “creativity on bread” challenge idea sounds great… So I invoke the queen mother of challenges 👑 @soldamiani it would be great a challenge with this theme.

those tostas look great! 😍 The shiny yolk and crispy edges of the egg make you want to applaud that peck dinner. What’s your favorite trick to get them to turn out like this? 🍳🍞

the toasts are very simple, but I have two tricks: one, spread the sobrasada on freshly toasted bread, so that it melts a little with its heat. And two, fry the quail eggs in very hot oil, so that the egg white forms a dot but the yolk remains creamy 😋😋😋😋😋.

@loles-mhotmail-com you betcha, I love them. The sobrasada sometimes I put it with brie (my favorite option), and others with quail egg (the one my husband prefers) 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

@lanamihajlovic I’m sure you would love it. There are days when my husband and I make a few and come alone. But it’s also an excellent idea for a tapas lunch or a snack with friends ☺️
