New experiment in the kitchen… this time it comes from the course ‘Introduction to pickles’, by Robert Ruiz Moreno. They are pickled walnuts. Water, vinegar and walnuts… and three or four months of magic.

On this occasion, the walnuts are discarded, what is used is the liquid to make a soft drink, adding 10% of this pickled juice to a homemade fizzy drink, for example.

I don’t know how it will be, but I was so curious that I had to make it. The problem is that I’m really late, because ideally I’d like to drink it in the summer heat… but if it takes 3 or 4 months to be ready… I’m already late 😕.

I will show it to you from time to time if I see significant changes in appearance and of course when it is ready 💫.

        let’s have a gastrochemistry! 👩🏻‍🔬

It’s great to see how you are applying what you learned in Chef Robert Ruiz Moreno’s course to try new things, and even more so with such an unusual ingredient as pickled walnuts.

I’m looking forward to seeing how your experiment evolves and
thanks for sharing the process and for taking the Introduction to Pickling course so well. ❤️

@ariamnenegmail-com no lo sé aún. Acabo de preparar el encurtido y no estará listo hasta dentro de tres o cuatro meses. No son las nueces lo que se comen, sino el líquido, para hacer refrescos. Estoy deseando saber a qué sabe

What a fascinating experiment! Pickled walnuts are such a unique twist, and turning the liquid into a fizzy soft drink sounds so creative. Waiting months can be tough, especially with summer vibes calling, but the anticipation will make that first sip even sweeter. Can’t wait to see how it evolves. Keep us posted on the magic in the jar!

@lanamihajlovic to see how it goes… I sincerely hope it’s tasty, because if it’s not, after three or four months of waiting… what a disappointment it would be. I’ll keep you posted 😚
