Baby potato tart tatin with cherries, red onion and goat cheese

      #PotatoChallenge

Ingredients: baby potatoes variety; puff pastry dough, semi-cured goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onion, butter, salt, olive oil, fresh thyme.

      Techniques: steaming, caramelizing, baking.

      Profile: amateur

I love the idea of bringing to the savory world, with this Mediterranean combination of ingredients, the famous French fruit tart, which was born as a mistake. This upside down tart gives a fabulous result with this variety of tiny potatoes. Freshly made it is pure comfort food.

I was inspired by a recipe from chef Yottam Ottolenghi… by the way, what a fantasy it would be to have him as a teacher at Scoolinary (I’ll leave it at that).

This sounds absolutely divine! I love how you’ve taken a classic French dessert and reimagined it with savory, Mediterranean flair. The combination of cherries, red onion, and goat cheese with baby potatoes sounds both comforting and elegant. And yes, having Ottolenghi as a Scoolinary teacher would be the dream!

I can only say wow, wow and extra wow.

What a great idea to use the technique of a classic French dessert and take it to another level with a savory option. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

The presentation looks beautiful, I can’t wait to try it already. I can sense from your story that you really enjoyed the process, is there anything you would change if you were to make it again or did it turn out just as you imagined?

Thank you for joining the challenge with this amazing preparation 😊.

@undefined thanks Sussan!!! Yes, the result is delicious. The truth is that I find it perfect as is, but in fururas occasions I could play with the type of cheese to add or herbs for seasoning 🥰.
