First mini batch of torrijas, I hope to make more over the weekend… and even plate them pretty and not like this, leaping around before attacking them 😅.

Haha, this made me smile – they may be leaping, but they still look absolutely delicious! There’s something so charming about that “impatiently homemade” vibe – like they couldn’t wait to be eaten.

Can’t wait to see the prettied-up version over the weekend… but honestly, if they taste half as good as they look now, they’re already a win! ❤️

It looks juicy and with that golden brown that makes you want to eat it straight out of the pan. 😌I like that you mention that it was a mini batch, sometimes the best ones come out just when one is tasting calmly. And although you say you didn’t plate it “pretty”, it has a lot of charm that home style, especially with that retro plate that gives it a unique touch.

did you use infused milk or did you make any special variations to the recipe? Sometimes a touch of orange peel or a little anise can give it a very rich twist.

I look forward to seeing the ones from the weekend, they are sure to come out even tastier. are you going to try with any accompaniments? ☺️

that torrija says “eat me” with all the letters! 😍 Although you say it was “a salto de mata”, it has a juicy and well infused pint that many of us would like. And that touch of cinnamon… pure temptation.

we want to see that next batch with gala plating! 😉
