      Rosemary salt in bloom

Well, here I come at last with my salt. And yes, I finally got it. I told you that I had put a little bit of infusion and it was left to dry…. I could have left it as it was because the aroma was very good and also the flavor… but I decided to add a little bit of powder that I made with more unopened flowers and leaves (plan C) when it was still a little wet.

After the total drying it has been a salt with a sierra aroma and a fabulous flavor. I am happy with the result🙌.

I always have the option of making it without the powder for other things, if I want it a little softer or with a little more flavor depending on where I use it.

I will show you the rosemary powder in another post and if I can I will make a video with the whole process. These days I have hardly had time for anything, and although I finished the cookies course I didn’t make it for the challenge where I wanted to use my salt. But later I will make them, sure I will 😉.

maloles, how wonderful to see the result of your process! Your passion for experimenting and sharing what you learn is noticeable, and that makes every post of yours inspiring and educational. The idea of adjusting the intensity of the flavor according to use is a great touch,

I was left curious, how does the aroma and flavor change when the salt is left alone with the infusion versus when you added the rosemary powder?
I hope later you can share a photo of your cookies using your rosemary salt 😍.

@sussan_scoolinaryteam The truth is that it has been a challenge for me. At first I thought that just the flowers would be enough but you can see that it was not. I have really enjoyed this process, it has been step by step until I got what I wanted.

To your question I will tell you that the flavor with only the infusion is softer and the aroma is also more subtle but quite evident. On the other hand, with the addition of the powder, it changes as well as the appearance. The flavor intensifies and also the aroma. I suppose that this could increase depending on the amount of powder that is put as it is logical. But for the moment I stay like this.

When I edit the video you will be able to see the quantity that I put. It is important because you know that I am a “by eye” person. And I think that if someone wants to do it, better to see it, right? 😉

That sounds absolutely amazing! I love how much thought and care you put into creating the perfect rosemary salt. The idea of using both the infusion and the powder to adjust the intensity of flavor is brilliant! I can only imagine the wonderful aroma it has. Looking forward to seeing your rosemary powder and, of course, the cookies when you get the chance to make them! ❤️
