      Moroccan lemons

After 37 days my lemons are like this. I do not know if it is the point that they have to have because it is the first time I make them. I would appreciate if you tell me how you see it because I have no idea. I’ve tried one and it’s super strong 😂 Yes, I know they are for cooking but still…. Now I think they are not well done…😅

      I hope you tell me…

those lemons look great! To tell if they’re ready, look for three things:
Texture: The skin should be softer and pliable, but not too soft. If they are still too firm, they may need more time.
Color and appearance: The liquid should be thicker and slightly cloudy from the salt and oils in the peel. If it is still very clear, they are still ripening.
Flavor: Yes, they are strong! But if the bitterness is too intense, they may need more days to balance out.

did you always store them submerged in the liquid? Sometimes, if they are exposed to the air, they can take longer to cure. If you think they are still not quite done, give them another week or two and try again.

they’re sure to be perfect for cooking! ☺️

@undefined Muchas gracias por tus consejos Sussan. Sí, creo que los dejaré más tiempo, a ver qué pasa. No tengo prisa 😉

          Are you fermenting lemons?

I think they still need a little more. I don’t know how much salt you used or if it’s from a course.

I usually ferment them in their own liquid and they take about 14 days. Although that depends on the temperature.

I’m sure in a week or two you’ll notice changes.😃

@undefined I put a lot of salt in them Diana, but I don’t know how much. It’s been many days.

How do you make them? If you have a little time I would like to know your step by step. So I can make them that way. I’m not sure if these will turn out well and I still have a lot of lemons at home😉.

They actually look great! 🍋 The flavor is definitely intense at first, but that’s the magic of Moroccan lemons—they mellow out beautifully in dishes. Give them a little more time, and they’ll be perfect for cooking! Can’t wait to see what you make with them! 😍✨
