• We continue with the #TomatoChallenge. Part of my paternal family is dedicated mainly to the cultivation of pear tomatoes, which are then taken to the factory to make fried tomatoes. We take advantage of that to go one summer day and fill our trunk with those tomatoes to make the following preparations:

      * First we always make tomato sauce very rich and spicy, just to add it to any pasta, any stew when we don’t have much time.

      * Then, of course, we can a lot of tomato sauce to keep it preserved during the winter.

      * And finally, we make dried tomatoes.

      * Some years, if we have a surplus, we separate the tomato juice and the pulp to be consumed separately.

I’m probably forgetting something we’ve done. It is fabulous to eat a salad of that tomato with just a little wild oregano, salt and olive oil.

Me preguntaba, ¿También hacen mermelada, jalea o algún producto dulce?.

              Saludos.
