To Sol Damiani and other colleagues .
. Who asked me
Dulce de leche mousse is a creamy and fluffy delight, ideal for those who are looking for a quick but elegant dessert. It is perfect for special occasions or to add a sweet touch to any day. The light and airy texture of the mousse, together with the caramelized flavor of the dulce de leche, creates an irresistible experience. Moreover, its preparation is so simple that you don’t need to be an expert in the kitchen to achieve amazing results.
Ingredients
- 400 grams of dulce de leche.
- 400 ml of whipping cream.
- 3 egg whites.
- A pinch of salt (optional, to stabilize the egg whites).
- Chocolate glaze for decoration
How to make dulce de leche mousse, step by step
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff and soft peaks form. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they form stiff peaks.
- Add the dulce de leche to the whipped cream with wrapping motions, avoiding losing the air that was incorporated.
- Gradually add the whipped egg whites, also with wrapping motions to maintain the fluffy texture.
- When all the ingredients are well integrated, distribute the mousse in individual cups or glasses.
- Place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes so that it takes more consistency.
- When serving, it can be decorated with grated chocolate or nuts for a crunchy touch.
