      Tuna Poke Bowl

      #PokeChallenge

It has been quite an adventure this challenge. I still have the taste in my mouth. It’s hard for me to describe it. The only thing I knew how to make this dish is the sushi rice, the rest has been new to me and I’m happy for everything I’ve learned.

I wanted to give my personal touch to the recipe by placing the avocado as a bowl and adding some ingredients that I will describe below.

I was afraid that the avocado would not stand upright while I placed all the ingredients inside and it would “spill” before taking the photos. And I have been putting everything in its place with great care (I just had to pray) 😅

First the rice once it had cooled ( it was great to do all the steps of the recipe ).

Then a little Shoyu sauce ( how delicious it turned out )

The coconut sweet potato, cherry tomatoes, pickled cucumber, baby beans replacing the Edamame that was impossible to find.

In the center the marinated tuna with the spring onion and finely chopped white onion, sesame and Shoyu sauce

As the tuna has a dull color, I put the pickled red onion between the pieces to liven it up a bit and because there was no more room.

I made a soy mayonnaise (I couldn’t find any ingredients for the Kimchi).

I allowed myself to add :

Whakame seaweed ( it was not from this recipe but I like it a lot and it has given it an important umami taste).

Also kumquat for a special touch. For Epiphany I got a tree and now it is in all its splendor (I will show it to you later).

And you already know that I like flowers. My baby pansies that I grow in the window of my kitchen are more beautiful than ever and I could not resist 🥰.

All finished with Toasted Sesame and Nigellia Sativa ( black seed) that I discovered a few days ago and also stays in my pantry.

Thank you @soldamiani for this enriching challenge. Looking forward to the next one ❤️
