Here is the recipe for the orange cake that I usually prepare. And I share with you a photo in which I put a frosting instead of cheese frosting.

      I hope you like it.

      Ingredients

      Cake

      • 500 gr flour
      • 300 gr butter
      • 400 gr sugar
      • 250 ml milk
      • 6 eggs
      • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
      • Juice of one lemon
      • Juice of one orange
      • 3 Tbsp orange zest
      • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
      • Cream cheese cream
      • 200 gr powdered sugar
      • 120 gr unsalted butter
      • 160 gr cream cheese
      • 1 tsp orange zest

      Elaboration

      Cake

Beat the sugar with the butter until you get a fairly homogeneous and whitish cream (this may take about 4 minutes)

      • Add the eggs one by one, letting them incorporate well before adding the next egg.
      • Once the eggs are well incorporated, replace the whisk with a spatula.
      • Add the milk and stir.
      • Add the third part of the flour, with the help of the spatula we mix with enveloping movements (this will help us to conserve the sponginess of the cake)
      • Once the flour is well integrated, add another third of the flour
      • We repeat until we have all the flour integrated and without any lumps.
      • Add the tangerine and lemon zest and mix.
      • Fill our mold previously buttered and take it to the oven.
      • Bake until ready, approximately 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
      • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes inside the mold.
      • Once this time has passed, carefully remove from the mold and let it cool on a wire rack.
      • Once the cake is ready, prepare the cream cheese.
      • Cheese cream
      • Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until you get a homogeneous paste.
      • Add the cheese and beat until obtaining a smooth and consistent cream.
      • Add the orange zest.
