Here I leave you as promised the process of the Fig Leaf Oil I made for the challenge.
A bunch of fig leaves
200ml sunflower oil
Wash the leaves, dry well and cut only the outer part discarding the central nerves of the leaf carefully as it is irritating.
Put them in the Thermomix with the oil for 3 minutes at 70Âş Celsius speed 5/7
If you do not have Thermomix, heat the oil to 70Âş and then put the leaves in it, crushing them after 3 minutes.
Strain everything through a strainer with kitchen paper and let it cool.
It will keep for about 3 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze it in a vacuum bag.
Enjoy it in your dishes. It has a slight almond flavor.
It goes well with fish, vegetables and fruit.
