#PizzaPortionChallenge
*Beet Pizza with Red Pesto and Asparagus*
Beet dough, pesto alla calabrese, fresh mozzarella di bufala, gorgonzola cheese, wild asparagus, red onion, oregano, grated ginger and kale for garnish.
I have never made pizzas and I was not planning to do a pizza course, but when the challenge came up I thought: “I have two weeks… I have time, I have time, I have time…”. First week I do the courses recommended by Sol and the second week I prepare ingredients, practice and make my pizza… Easy!!!😎
I started with the Neapolitan Pizzas courses by Vittorio and Riccardo Figurato but when I saw the one on Creative Pizzas by Luigi Di Domenico … I came up and thought about my pizza 🤔.
I got so excited that I bought Italian ingredients, a stone and shovel for my oven that was arriving just on Friday ( three days before the end of the challenge?…gives me time ). I started my dough on Thursday, my first pizza dough and on top of beet 🧐 ….
Friday came and I think I stressed the dough, what a beating I gave it but I went ahead and against all odds it came out!!! but without pins 🤣. We ate everything but the edge which was inedible.
My husband who doesn’t like pizzas, said to me ” The first one never comes out well, why don’t you make one with the figs I brought yesterday?”. I prepared the dough to bake it on Saturday 😊
I thought I had it all under control…the stone didn’t arrive 😂 and I was still thinking about my beet pizza…I prepared another dough while the other one was in its first rising. I could bake it on Sunday to see if it would turn out better… and it did ! These photos are from the second attempt with beets. It came out very, very tasty and with peaks, even though the pesto spilled during the cutting 🥳.
This challenge has pushed me to the limit but I have learned and enjoyed it like a girl with new shoes. I have practiced photography. I know only pizza slice photos enter but I wanted you to see how it came out whole for me.
In another post I will show you my fig pizza. It came out so pretty that I had a hard time deciding what to present but since only one was allowed I wanted to be faithful to my first idea. I hope you like it

He practicado la fotografía.

Maloles,me encantó tu resultado!
