Coffee roll cake @rachelLo
J’ai réalisé le Coffee Roll Cake du cours Hong Kong Bakery Classics. Je pense l’avoir bien réussi à mon troisième essai ! Les deux premiers n’étaient pas concluants : je n’avais pas le bon moule (le mien était trop petit, ce qui rendait le gâteau trop épais et donc difficile à rouler), et ma meringue ne montait pas correctement, faute de crème de tartre.
Mais malgré les difficultés du début, le résultat en vaut vraiment la peine : j’adore le goût et la texture de ce gâteau !

By the way, did you add strawberries to the filling? In the photo, there seem to be little red bits that give it a lovely and delicious touch. We’d love to hear more about that part!

The texture and flavor of a good coffee roll cake are so rewarding, especially after overcoming those early challenges. Bravo for sticking with it!
