A self‑taught chocolatier who reinvented modern molded chocolate bonbon design
Andrey Dubovik was born in Minsk, Belarus. In 2015, at home and without formal culinary training, he began baking purely for fun and he discovered a deep fascination with working with chocolate. Dedicating himself to mastering the craft, Andrey devoured every resource he could find and he taught himself.
In 2016, Andrey bought his first polycarbonate mold and embarked on a journey that would take him from amateur experimentation to international acclaim. His bold, vividly‑colored bonbons quickly drew attention for their hyper‑precise finishes and technical skill.
Together with his partner, Ronya Belova, he founded a small chocolate venture. Despite having no professional kitchen or industry support, their perseverance and innovation propelled them onto the world stage.
As demand grew, Andrey began teaching masterclasses internationally, sharing his signature techniques such as airbrushing, hand‑painting, and cocoa butter coloring.
He is also the author of Pralinarium (2019) and Superpralinarium (2021).
Now based in Barcelona, Andrey Dubovik continues to evolve the art of bonbon design, inspiring a new generation of chocolatiers and pushing the boundaries of edible art.
