How to use oven
Posted by hananshareed04 on May 2, 2025 at 00:12During the course, it was not mentioned how to use the electric oven for croissants and brioche. Does it use a fan or light the oven from above and below? Please mention this information for ovens because it is important for completing the preparation of pastries and sweets.

Hi Hanan, great question.
The type of baking is very important to get perfect croissants and brioches.
For croissants, the best option when using an electric oven is to bake with bottom heat only, without the fan.
This allows them to bake more gently and evenly, without drying out the surface too quickly or affecting the lamination. In some ovens, the fan can be too aggressive for these delicate doughs.
For brioches, you can also use bottom heat only, or if your oven has a gentle fan option, you could use it ,but always keeping an eye to make sure it doesn’t brown too quickly.
Remember to preheat your oven properly to the indicated temperature before baking, and avoid opening the door during the first few minutes to prevent heat loss.Tell us , is this your first time making these types of recipes like croissants, brioches, or other sweet pastries?
Hope this information is helpful.
Best regards.
