Today I made a couscous tuna salad. I needed something comforting, something light, simple, and nourishing… the opposite of the day. Because Monday, like every other Monday, arrived with that familiar crash: inbox full, heavy head, everyone wants something, everything is urgent, and you’re just human.
So I added:
– couscous, to remind me that simple is enough
– chickpeas, for stability
– carrots, peas, peppers, cherry tomatoes – to remind me that color still exists
– red onion, to cut through it all
– tuna, for strength
– olive oil and a pinch of salt, because nothing works without themI tossed it all in one bowl and ate it slowly. It didn’t change the world, but it did make the day better.
Sometimes it’s enough to eat something that doesn’t add to the chaos in your body. And that’s a perfectly valid Monday survival strategy. 😊 #BeatTheMondayBlues
How did your Monday treat you? So, what’s your go-to Monday survival strategy?

Lana, what a beautiful way to express how you were feeling and how you worked through it.
That salad sounds comforting and meaningful, like a small act of self-care we all need from time to time.
I have to say, my Monday’s been pretty calm so far. I’m recovering from a nasty cold and tonsillitis, so this week is starting off a bit kinder than the last, and I’m really grateful for that.
Thanks for sharing your dish with us,it looks delicious! Couscous is one of my favorite ingredients, and I love how versatile it is. Your version looks amazing. ❤️1-

@undefined I’m really glad the salad resonated with you. Sometimes, those small, intentional meals feel like quiet little hugs to ourselves, don’t they? I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been sick. Tonsillitis is no joke. I’m glad this week is starting off on a calmer note for you. You deserve that softness while you recover. And yes, couscous is such a lifesaver! It’s quick, cozy, and endlessly adaptable. I’m happy you liked how it turned out. Sending you lots of healing vibes and a warm bowl of something comforting. ❤️

What a soulful plate to push back against Monday’s chaos! 🌈✨
Your couscous salad is full of intention — the textures from chickpeas, veggies, and that bold, kick-like sensation from the tuna create something both grounding and vibrant. The cherry tomatoes add just the right pop of brightness.
Next time, would you consider shaping it a bit more on the plate? Even a simple ring mold could take your presentation to the next level 💡
Which of those ingredients felt most essential to you today — the one your body truly asked for?I went for a soy milanesa stuffed with Porsalut cheese and corn, paired with a green bean and boiled egg salad. Confort achieved!

@undefined I love how you described the dish… it’s exactly what I was going for: something that feels steady but still alive with color and flavor. And you’re absolutely right, cherry tomatoes really do bring that perfect little burst! Thank you so much for the lovely suggestion! I do actually enjoy plating and decorating the dish when I have the time, but today was one of those wild Mondays where just getting something nourishing on the plate felt like an achievement in itself 😅 As for the ingredient that called to me most… I’d say the chickpeas. There was something about their earthiness and heartiness that just felt necessary today, like my body wanted something solid to hold onto. Your soy milanesa with Porsalut and corn sounds incredible! And that green bean and egg salad? Absolute comfort. 😍 So glad you treated yourself too!

@beatriztorijagmail-com That’s such a beautiful way to put it…”The sacred mealtime” Yes! Exactly that. 🧡
It’s amazing how something so simple can create that little pause in the day, grounding us and gently shifting the mood, even across thousands of kilometers.
I’m so touched to know this humble salad brought a bit of light your way too. Here’s to more of those quiet, nourishing moments, shared in spirit, no matter the distance. ✨1
