Sultan Rolls – A Taste of Turkish Delight ✨🌙

Sultan rolls are a Turkish dessert where coconut plays the starring role, while the filling can be chocolate, fruity, or anything your imagination desires. At first glance, they may seem elaborate, but this melt-in-your-mouth treat is surprisingly simple to prepare.

Soft, delicate, and irresistibly creamy, these rolls are the kind of dessert no one can refuse. They don’t just taste divine, they also shine on the table, making them a perfect choice for celebrations.

What I loved most about making them is the contrast… the cocoa-infused creaminess rolled in coconut flakes, finished with a cloud of whipped cream.

      UPDATE

At Sol’s request, I am attaching the recipe:

      Ingredients :

      1 l milk

      150 g sugar

      1 bourbon vanilla

      100 g cornstarch

      70 g flour

      30 g cocoa

      100 g shredded coconut

      50 g butter (or margarine)

      200 ml whipping cream

      Preparation (45 min):

      1. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, cornstarch, and vanilla with 200 ml milk. Heat the rest of the milk and cook this mixture in it until thick, like a pudding. Stir well, then add butter and whisk until smooth.

      2. Sprinkle coconut evenly over a large baking tray. Pour the hot pudding mixture over it, spreading carefully. Let cool 30 minutes.

      3. Whip the cream and spread it over the cooled base.

      4. Cut into ~5 cm strips, then roll each strip gently into little rolls. They’ll be soft, fluffy, and coated in coconut “snow.”

👉 Optional: before rolling, you can sprinkle chopped walnuts or chocolate over the cream.

They’re light, not too sweet, and have that creamy–pudding texture that disappears in seconds. 🥰

            @lanamihajlovic Have you tried “coquitos”?

            Super easy recipe:
for each egg, 100 grams of sugar and 100 grams of grilled coconut.
You mix in the ingredients, (including a splash of vanilla extract if you want to, not mandatory), and place the mixture in the fridge for 3 hours. Once chilled, shape it into small balls with a pointed tip and bake them for 20 minutes on a floured and buttered baking tray. When they turn golden brown, take them out of the oven and let them rest for 30 minutes at room temperature until fully cooled—and that’s it!

          Hi Lana! 👋
This photo made me pause — the texture, the light, the way the rolls are cut just right… it’s got that “bring-it-to-the-table-and-watch-the-silence” kind of vibe 😄 The coconut looks like snow and the filling is so even it could star in a tutorial.
Would you share the recipe with us? Pretty please? 🙏 It looks too good to keep secret!

@soldamiani Thank you Sol so much for your sweet words. I’m still practicing my rolling skills, some pieces cracked a little 🙈 but the taste makes up for everything. Soft, creamy, and coconut-snowy… definitely a keeper!

And since good things should always be shared, I will update my post with the recipe for these soft coconut rolls (Pasha lokum)
