Who is Mai Irie?

Mai graduated from Keio University and worked for Citigroup and J.P.Morgan for more than 10 years. She always wanted to be much more creative in her work, so she started cooking classes and demonstrations from her home kitchen. Since 2017, she has done countless Wagashi- Japanese traditional confectionery making classes for both local and international guests. Her recipes have been featured in web magazines like ELLE Japan, Glolea!, and Voice Animage.

Mai is an alumna of Yanagihara Culinary School of Traditional Japanese Cuisine and holds a teaching license.

She has lived in Singapore and Hong Kong. Making pottery is another of her passions.
