Hi and welcome to Scoolinary, Simon! 😊 I’m Sol Damiani, Community Manager here.
Great news: questions like yours can be asked directly to Scooly, our AI assistant! You’ll find it by clicking the three-star ✨ icon at the top right of your browser. I asked your question there and here’s what it came back with:
In the course, Andrey Dubovik uses a standard 24g cylindrical bar mould, but he doesn’t mention an exact brand or product code. The important thing is that the mould has a smooth cylindrical shape and fits approximately 24g of filling per cavity.
The Martellato 22g mould you found is a bit taller (17mm), which might affect the ratio of shell to filling, but it could still work if you adapt the technique slightly. The Interplast 24g bar mould being just 1mm deep sounds too shallow to achieve the refined look and structure shown in the course—so that one may not be ideal.
Since no exact specs are given, the key is to choose a mould with a similar volume and clean cylindrical lines. You might even want to experiment with a couple of options to find the one that gives you the cleanest finish and balance of shell and filling.Hope it’s helpful!
