I have been making pasta for years, but the pasta courses on Scoolinary has boosted my confidence so much. I have become much more relaxed when making it. I made a homemade pasta course yesterday that we took to someone else’a house and I cooked it there for family that we have never met before. Everything was portioned and beautifully packaged – the guests were very impressed. They do homemade pasta themselves, but they were surprised at the lightness of the pasta and the taste. The biggest compliment was when the kids loved it too.
It felt like an Italian evening with everyone choosing to eat around the kitchen table and not in the formal dining room. The vibe reminded me of real Italian ‘family’ – I believe that is the power of food.
Sorry I did not take photos of the cooked food, but catering for 10 people in such a setting still keeps me a bit busy.
I also made my own tomato and basil pasta sauce for the vegetarian with sundried tomato and peccorino cheese. And my husband made his delicious mince with mushrooms and onions.
