      That moment when your partner takes you out for a sweet treat at the end of a long work week, and you accidentally discover a new winter obsession… chestnut cake.

      What landed on my plate was pure winter comfort… a smooth, dense slice of chestnut purée enriched with cocoa, topped with a warm, velvety sauce and finished with chocolate shavings and a swirl of whipped cream. Simple, nostalgic, and far better than what I expected.

      Now my mind is busy breaking it down: the texture, the aroma, the balance between chestnut purée and cream, the gentle warmth of vanilla… I want to understand what gives it that unmistakable “winter glow”. I can’t stop thinking about how to recreate this at home.

      If anyone has worked with chestnut desserts before, I’m open to all tips. This might be my next kitchen project. 😁
