Umucyo w’Afurika (The Light of Africa)

After sharing my dish inspired by Rwanda, today I’m presenting the drink that completes that story.

It’s made with the same fruit my friend brought me from Rwanda – ikinyomoro (tamarillos) and mango – and turned into a vibrant, refreshing juice that carries a bit of the country’s warmth in every sip.

I blended tamarillos, mango, orange, ginger and honey, letting their flavors mingle the way memories do. The result is a drink that feels like sunlight – bold, colorful and full of life.

Just like the dish, this juice is my way of reconnecting with Rwanda’s spirit.
I hope it brings a touch of that same energy to you, too.
