Friday Night Fire Bites
Friday has arrived, and with it the company. The door opens, laughter flows in, shoes stay by the door, and the house is filled with the promise of fire. On the table there isn’t just an ordinary dinner waiting, but tortillas that decided to turn into kebabs… I spread them with a mix of sausage meat, red pepper, onion, garlic, parsley, and a touch of chili flakes.
I cut them, slide them onto skewers, turn them in the pan… and watch as each tortilla transforms into a crispy hero. The chili flakes bring that kind of tension that makes eyes sparkle, and conversations grow louder. When they started to sizzle, they knew they’d be the main subject of the evening.
Beside them… a salad of cucumber, sour cream, mayonnaise, and lemon. White, cold, gentle. Like a pause between two bites.
Nothing complicated, yet enough for Friday to find its rhythm… a bite, a laugh, a story, then another bite. Friday isn’t just a day, it’s a state of mind. A moment when spice becomes a language, and friends the audience who understand every one of your improvisations.
