      Song of Roasted Roots

In my kitchen, colors turned into emotions. The red pepper, under the flame of the oven, opened its heart and revealed a sweetness that had been hidden until then. The carrot, wrapped in warmth, transformed from a humble root into a bright orange sun. And the garlic, once it shed its harshness through roasting, became tender, almost gentler than a touch. In the pan, the onion whispered the first line of a melody, while the broth carried all the voices together… the pepper, the carrot, the garlic… into a harmonious embrace.

When I blended all the vegetables into a creamy whole, it felt as if I had captured the colors and silence of autumn in a single bowl. On top, I traced ribbons of cream to bring in softness, and scattered pumpkin seeds with black and white sesame, so that every spoonful would hold a hint of crunch, reminding me that life is never only smooth, but always carries its crisp edges too.

This pottage is a warm song to autumn. It is my way of greeting the season, of welcoming it with warmth, and of remembering how simple ingredients can become a true comfort.
